We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our remote team, working with one of the biggest hedge funds in the world. Our client manages investments for a wide array of institutional clients, including foreign governments and central banks, corporate and public pension funds, university endowments, and charitable foundations. As a Senior Java Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the company's core applications, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including external clients, to understand requirements and develop innovative solutions to meet their business goals.

Develop and maintain the company's core applications, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including external clients, to understand requirements and develop innovative solutions to meet their business goals
Optimize and fix performance issues to ensure optimal application performance
Estimate release timelines, plan releases, and ensure timely integration with other stakeholders
Maintain comprehensive documentation of all development processes and procedures
Participate in code reviews, offering constructive feedback and insights to improve code quality
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development

requirements

3+ years of experience in Java 8+ (Core, Multi-Threading, Java Concurrency Framework, Memory Model, Garbage collection)
Expertise in AWS Cloud and Web Services (REST, SOAP) and ORM
Proficiency in ELK stack (Elastic search, LogStash, Kibana) and AWS (e.g. S3, SQS)
Experience with development tools and SCM (Gradle, Jenkins, Sonar, GitLab)
Comprehensive knowledge of design patterns, good practices, and Clean Code rules
Ability to optimize and fix performance issues
Experience in release estimation, planning, and timely integration with other stakeholders
Strong communication skills and proactivity
Flexibility to adjust a solution and suggest ideas to accomplish business goals
Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
