We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced remote Senior DevOps Engineer with 3+ years of relevant work experience.

The successful candidate will have a solid background in Linux-based systems, scripting, and AWS, as well as experience with JBOSS application servers, Terraform, and monitoring systems. They will be responsible for monitoring, administration, and maintenance of multicomponent systems in test and production environments, as well as participating in evening and weekend duty shifts. Strong communication skills in English are required for daily interactions with customer teams and support teams from different locations.

responsibilities

Monitoring, administration, and maintenance of multicomponent systems in test and production environments
Following process flow: working with bug tracking systems and knowledge databases, handling tickets, incident, problem, and maintenance management flow
Participating in evening and weekend duty shifts on a scheduled basis (compensation included)
Communicating daily with customer teams and support teams from different locations via email, Skype, and voice in English

requirements

3+ years of relevant work experience
Solid knowledge of Linux-based systems, specifically CentOS administration and maintenance
Good knowledge of scripting (Bash, Python)
JBOSS application server knowledge: maintenance and basic configuration steps
AWS knowledge (EC2, ASG, R53, ALB, CloudWatch)
Knowledge of CM tools (Terraform)
Basic knowledge of monitoring systems (Prometheus/Zabbix)
Basic Java knowledge: GC algorithms, generating thread and heap dumps, using Java properties, log analysis
NGINX web server knowledge: load balancing configuration, rewrite rules
Flexible working hours and ability to participate in evening and weekend duty ROTA shifts
B2+ English level

nice to have

Experience with other cloud platforms and technologies
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
