We are currently seeking a Senior Accessibility Consultant to join our remote team. As an expert in accessibility, you will be responsible for ensuring our products and services comply with accessibility standards and best practices. You will work closely with stakeholders, conduct workshops, present and advocate for accessibility-based decisions, and participate in idea-generating team sessions. This role requires a thorough understanding of accessibility standards and best practices, as well as the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and best practices across all products and services
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accessibility needs are prioritized and met
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions to promote accessibility awareness and understanding among cross-functional teams
  • Advocate for accessibility-based decisions and present them in a clear and compelling manner
  • Participate in brainstorming and idea-generating team sessions to ensure accessibility is considered at all stages of product development
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest accessibility standards and best practices
requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in Accessibility Testing and Consultancy
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of accessibility standards and best practices
  • Experience in creating A11y Compliance reports/VPATs
  • Expertise in A11y testing approaches and processes, including using screen readers and other assistive technologies
  • Familiarity with A11y evaluation tools and techniques
  • Experience in accessibility specification development and WAI-ARIA as part of A11y review
  • Excellent consultancy and communication skills, capable of effectively communicating with cross-functional teams
  • Fluency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
nice to have
  • Experience in processing accessibility documents
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS accessibility
