Senior Accessibility Consultant
We are seeking a Senior Accessibility Consultant to join our remote team. Your primary focus will be to provide expert consultancy in accessibility testing, advocating for accessibility standards, and ensuring compliance with A11y guidelines. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders and participate in brainstorming sessions to improve products for world-class services. Leveraging your extensive knowledge of accessibility testing approaches and processes, you will create and improve products that are accessible to all. This role requires excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to conduct workshops and explain accessibility-based decisions to stakeholders.
responsibilities
- Advocate for accessibility standards and ensure compliance with A11y guidelines
- Collaborate with stakeholders and participate in brainstorming sessions to improve products for world-class services
- Provide expert consultancy in accessibility testing approaches and processes
- Create and improve products that are accessible to all
- Conduct workshops and explain accessibility-based decisions to stakeholders
- Participate in the continuous refinement of the accessibility process
requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in accessibility consulting
- Extensive knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices
- Expertise in compiling A11y Compliance Reports/VPATs
- In-depth understanding of A11y in SDLC and Accessibility Specification development
- Proficient in using screen readers and other assistive technologies
- Adept at using A11y Evaluation Tools and WAI-ARIA as part of A11y review
- Excellent consultancy skills, able to provide expert advice and guidance on accessibility-related issues
- Fluency in spoken and written English, allowing effective communication with stakeholders and team members (B2+ level)
