Senior Accessibility Consultant
We are seeking a Senior Accessibility Consultant to join our remote team. As a Senior Accessibility Consultant, you will be responsible for ensuring our products and services comply with accessibility standards. Your expertise in accessibility compliance reporting, knowledge of accessibility standards and testing approaches, and experience with accessibility in software development life cycle (SDLC) will help us deliver world-class services to our customers.
responsibilities
- Ensure compliance of products and services with accessibility standards and best practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop accessible products and services, including participating in brainstorming and idea-generating team sessions
- Conduct accessibility testing and evaluations and compile A11y compliance reports/VPATs
- Develop A11y specifications and ensure A11y in SDLC processes
- Conduct accessibility consultation and advocacy, including workshops and presentations to stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with accessibility trends and best practices and apply them to our products and services
requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in accessibility consulting with a solid understanding of accessibility standards and best practices
- Experience in compiling A11y compliance reports/VPATs, developing A11y specifications, and conducting A11y testing
- Expertise in using screen readers and other assistive technologies and evaluating A11y using evaluation tools
- Experience in accessibility consultation and advocacy, including conducting workshops and presenting to stakeholders
- Good knowledge of WAI-ARIA as part of A11y review
- Proficient in English language, with at least an Upper-Intermediate level of competency
